How To Find Niche Markets and Profit From Them

I wanted to share this profitable niche market I found using My Niche Finder Tool.

As you probably know Credit Cards are a very popular affiliate product to promote.
 
Many affiliates find that getting people to sign up for something is much easier then getting people to buy a product which they would then earn a commission on.  And Credit Cards pay a very high affiliate commission.  For example, the base commission for the Discover Open Road Card is $40.00.  And it goes up if you hit certain signup targets during the month. 

But, the problem is it is a very crowded market.  Trying to get your website on the first or second (or even third) page of Google for the keyword phrase, "Credit Cards" is an exercise in futility. And unless you are on one of the first pages in Google for that keyword phrase you will not be able to divert the traffic you need to make a profit.

And don't even think about Pay Per Click. There are over 40 pages of Google Adword Ads and over 55 Overture ads for the phrase "credit cards". The top spot in Google for the term "credit cards" costs $12.77... per click!

In a nutshell if you want to make any money in the credit card market you better have a plan to divert traffic to your site. Otherwise your site will get lost in a sea of competitors.

What they have done is used a very hot topic, high gas prices, and turned it into an affiliate promotion for credit cards. 

That's brilliant marketing!  They're feeding on people's greed and distrust of the Oil Companies (and Gas Stations by association) and telling them they can save money on gas AND also get back at the gas stations for their high gas prices.  It costs nothing to sign up for the credit card.  They probably use a credit card to buy gas
anyway so why not use one that pays back 5% on gas purchases?  And
the owner of the website makes $40 bucks per sign up!
